Big Tex, along with Gopher, is one of two tortoises turned in to All Things Wild Rehabilitation in Georgetown, TX, in April 2021. A young male, we will be paying attention to his behavior to decide when he’s ready to have his own adult male pen. For now, he is living with Gopher in an available pen. Big Tex has a bumpy carapace consistent with having lived in captivity, and his friendly behavior suggests he is used to humans.
